Ways of being

Sometimes I laugh a lot
Sometimes I trip along quite happily, with a slight uneasiness hovering around.
Sometimes grief sneaks up and catches me unawares.
Sometimes I actively invite grief in.

Mostly I am fine

All of the above are perfectly acceptable ways of being.

  1. Ooh Jacqui, what a lovely, but unexpected surprise to see your name pop up on my blogroll this evening. Even more lovely, to learn that you and James are well and happily plodding along and have continued to live your life to the fullest.
A trip to Canada, and new grandbabies, whilst still filling your days with the Croft, what an exceptional women you are, always giving, and caring.
I look forward to reading more, and thank you for allowing us to be part of your world.
    Best wishes always.

  2. Thank you Jo, you are so kind- what lovely words. It's nice to be back, although my posts may be fairly random xxx

  3. I thought about you last week when visiting the stones with my daughter and Grandsons. We have finally fulfilled our dream and moved over here to the Isle of Lewis, living the dream. It was wonderful to see your name pop up and lovely to hear you are doing as well as you can.

    1. Wow - I had no idea. Just had to pop over to your blog and see. Glad you are settling in and enjoying life here. It is certainly different but it gets under your skin. We should meet up once the holidays are over xx

  4. That's lovely Jaqui. Old friends of my husband invited me and my two daughters to the Dordorgne for a week of relaxation in the sunshine and peace so that is where we are after the GCSE madness. Two months shy of 3 yrs since David died and it is very much as you say. Deep sadness and periods of joy and optimism - increasing strength in many unexpected ways. I have spent my week sleeping and watching butterflies and reading "Women Everywhere (We)" by Gillian Anderson and Jennifer Nadel. It has been good. It is lovely to read your posts and feel the strength you most obviously have. France is nice but Scotland is tops! Ali x

    1. Hi again Ali. I just saw your comment in the spam folder. My visits to the blog have been quite sporadic
You’ll have passed the 3 years by now, but I am thinking of you today and sending strength and love. It’s nice to see that you are looking after yourself and getting lots of rest xx

Many thanks for visiting me. I love to read your thoughts and appreciate each one. I will respond to comments and queries here, so please check back xx
