Seven Days

:: Stopping for a moment to take in the glorious colours of the land.

:: Harvesting the most fantastic carrots I have ever tasted.

:: Enjoying the Community Bonfire Night celebrations.

:: Making tomato chutney.

:: Having coffee at a friend and neighbour's house - loving her window view.

:: Pondering the fate of these fragrant quinces - a gift from the same friend.

:: Working outside in the clear cold air.

Just a few ordinary moments from the last Seven Days - moments of beauty, happiness and gratitude, that I can remember and cherish. Wishing you many small blessings in the week ahead.

  1. Mike loves tomato chutney, his mom makes it for him, but I've never made any myself.
    And quince, not something we have here, but would love to try it one day. I love seeing your carrots. We planted seeds twice, but both times they got rained out and I just gave up, maybe next year.
    Enjoy the rest of the weekend.

    1. Hi Tracy, I planted mine in June to avoid the carrot fly, but that might be getting too hot where you are by then xx

  3. Home grown carrots taste different to any I have bought, shame the mice usually get to ours first!

  4. Some lovely moments there. Breathing cool clear air has to be my favourite though, my lungs are always more healthy at this time of year. Have a wonderful week xx
